Plumbing Services:

This is a very broad service but would usually involve the replacement of any faulty internal valves or fittings. Common ones include the internals of toilet cisterns and Cold water storage cylinders.

The repairing of basin/bath/garden or kitchen taps can also be a common job I undertake on a regular basis.

Replacing valves and repairs to any radiators or hot water storage cylinders. Seized or leaking valves/fittings can all be replaced or fixed along with any drainage fittings and pipework that has become problematic.

All moving parts have some kind of shelf life and when you add in the fact that all these parts are surrounded by water day in day out. You can see how problems occur.

Among the calls I get, a great deal are related to water damage and finding the source of the leaking water. The majority are usually having moldy sealant which has torn away from the bath or shower tray. This may be hard to detect but over time this can cause an astonishing amount of damage to the floor beneath.

What sometimes accompanies moldy sealant can be moldy cracked grout which also contributes too many bathroom leaks. On top of the main two causes of bathroom leaks. I have detected and solved many leaks over my years as a plumber. From leaking fittings to blocked pipes, the causes and situations are endless.

Using my background and knowledge I aim to find the source of the leaking water, fix it and if superficial plasterboard work and tiling work, can also fix it up like new.

Where you would need a joiner or other specialist would be if the damage was severe and the question of wet or dry rot needed to be investigated.

This service covers the installation of all water inlet pipework along with all drainage pipework required for any given appliance.

This includes all appropriate valves and fittings to comply with current regulations. Whether it be a kitchen sink, a new bath or a full installation of a new three piece bathroom suite.

Other common appliances would be dishwashers, washing machines, bathroom sinks, toilets, electric/mixer showers, baths, towel rails, cold and hot water tanks and any other household appliance which needs a water supply to run.

Perhaps replacing or adding in a new radiator to your central heating system. No matter if it is a single tap or a contract for numerous bathroom suites, this service covers it all.

A common problem with old or badly plumbed in pipework is the occurrence of airlocks.

Airlocks occur when the pipework has not been installed with the required gradient to release any trapped air that may have found its way into the pipework. When an airlock does occur, the likelihood will be that there will be a greatly reduced flow rate or no water supply to a given appliance. These are usually quite easy to rectify if you know how.

Drainage pipework and associated blockages make up a large part of an average month on the job. Blockages can occur in any section of drainage pipework and it is my job to source where along the line and how to rectify the issue.

This is done using a large selection of plumbing tools from drainage rods to tools that fire down compressed air to shake the blockage free.

The problem is always located and rectified.
