My name is John Horton and I run JHDS Plumbing & Tiling. I started the business in 2008 after qualifying as a plumber — initially in Edinburgh, now based in Dunblane and covering Stirling and the surrounding areas.
When I started out I made a deliberate choice to focus on the smaller jobs that larger plumbing companies tend to avoid — a dripping tap, a regrout, tile repairs, silicone renewal. There's a real need for a reliable tradesperson who'll turn up, do the job properly and not charge a fortune. That's what I've built JHDS on.
Over fifteen years and thousands of jobs later, the majority of my work still comes through word of mouth and returning customers. I take that as the best measure of doing things right.
