Who we are
JHDS Plumbing & Tiling is a sole trader business operated by John Horton, based in Dunblane, Stirlingshire. We provide plumbing and tiling services across Stirling, Dunblane, Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

What data we collect
When you use the contact form on this website, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if provided)
- Your location
- The details of your enquiry
We do not collect any payment data.
Cookies and advertising
We advertise on Google, and we use Google Analytics to see how the site is performing. Both set cookies on your device — so when you first arrive you are asked whether you agree, and nothing is set until you do.
- If you accept: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads set cookies that measure which pages you visited and whether an advert brought you here.
- If you decline: neither is given permission to store anything, and any Google cookie already on your device from a previous visit is deleted.
To change your mind later, visit this page with the cookie choice reset and the banner will reappear.
Anonymous measurement that needs no cookie
Separately from the above, we count visits using methods that set no cookies, store nothing on your device and cannot identify you. These run whether or not you accept, because there is nothing to consent to:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — anonymous page-view and referrer counts from our hosting provider.
- Our own counter — an anonymous tally of how the site is used, including how many people tap the call, WhatsApp or email buttons. Each page load gets a random number held in memory only, which is gone the moment the page closes, so it cannot connect two page views to each other. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, it switches itself off.
How we use your data
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Respond to your enquiry
- Arrange a visit or quote
- Follow up on work carried out
We do not sell, share or pass your data to any third party for marketing purposes.
How long we keep your data
Enquiry details are kept for as long as is necessary to complete the work and any follow-up. If you would like your data removed, contact us at contact@jhdsplumbing.co.uk.
Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymous data about page visits and is used only to improve the website. No personally identifiable information is collected via analytics. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out tool.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data
